As ‘The Confidence Coach’ I work with teens and young adults to help them create coping strategies for their life challenges and I teach them tangible skills that build their self-confidence, strengthen their resilience and help them to self-manage their emotional wellbeing and mental health.
In the Smart Study program we look at their competing priorities, their current grades, their desired grades and their time management skills along with their mindset.  Together we ‘brain dump’ out everything and find out what is working and what is not and  start to form a plan and add in new strategies that bring balance and a positive outlook to their lives.
The coaching works by allowing the student to safely challenge their current mindset and schedule pressures and reshape it to something that actually works for them, their lifestyle and their preference of study methods.
The outcome is a stress free approach to their studies and an understanding of how to manage their mindset and competing pressures. The student is happier and positive with a clear focus on how to manage their time and their busy lives.
The coaching program takes between 2 to 3 hours and includes two follow up calls. These calls are support calls to see what needs to be tweaked and what extra support they may need going forward. Some teenagers may have other issues impacting their lives that ongoing coaching could assist in. All discussions and coaching is confidential but further coaching suggestions are shared with parents with the students’ permission.
